Things to see in VILLEFRANCHE-DE-CONFLENT

Of course the medieval city itself with its romanesque church, its vaulted covered walkway, more than twenty house façades that are classified under the inventory of historic monuments and the COVA BASTERA Cave…  With its 320 inhabitants, this village built in 1098, is classed as one of  « the most beautiful villages in France » and is a « town of Art and History ».   An out-of-time experience, let your imagination wander –  a word of advice, late in the evening when there is no-one else around, take a walk through the streets – its magical.  There are also several local creative craftsmen to be found… and a large choice of restaurants (especially during the high season)
